Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital (DSFH) founded by Dr. Soliman Fakeeh in 1978 and has progressed to establish itself at the forefront of health care market and medical services within the private sector in Saudi Arabia with a high success rates comparable to international standards.
Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital contacted us to build a virtual reality application to train the stroke patients in daily task. The virtual reality training is necessary to prevent the patients from any accident which could happen in real training.
In collaboration with the King Abdullah University Hospital, we launched a virtual reality application for the rehabilitation of stroke patients. This training includes some daily tasks, such as pouring water, slicing carrot, drinking water, and eating with a fork. The patients can check their stats on the same screen: How many cuts the patient did? How is the accuracy? How much is the water spilled? How many were the carrots that the patient successfully ate? With this virtual training, the patients can avoid any accident from slicing and avoid any waste from pouring and drinking water, which is likely to happen in real training.
